European Cloud Summit 2021
The European Cloud Summit is a premium European technology conference, focused on Microsoft Azure, and current cloud topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Internet of Things and Industry 4.0, and business and technology aspects alike.
WHAT IS THE EUROPEAN CLOUD SUMMIT?
The mission of the European Cloud Summit is to become the major European technology conference focused on Microsoft Azure and current cloud topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Internet of Things and Industry 4.0, and business and technology aspects alike. The European Cloud Summit will focus primarily on Microsoft Azure, with a certain amount of the sessions dedicated to Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud platforms, as well as to other cloud vendors and multicloud and hybrid solutions.
WHY EUROPEAN CLOUD SUMMIT?
Europe needs a dedicated premium Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies conference. Azure and cloud topics are often included as a track in generic technology conferences, or considered as an addition to existing conferences, but they never seem to be the primary focus. There is no major premium event in Europe dedicated exclusively to Microsoft Azure. The European Cloud Summit is here to fill this gap and provide exclusive focus on Microsoft Azure and other cloud computing topics.
IS THIS A TECHNOLOGY OR A BUSINESS CONFERENCE?
It is indeed both. We will have world-class experts and speakers, both from Microsoft Corporate and from the community (Microsoft Regional Directors and Microsoft MVPs), focusing not only on the newest technological developments of Microsoft Azure and general cloud topics, but also on the business and legal aspects of working with cloud technology. Our content will be fairly split between business and legal, management, architectural, administrative, and development topics.
HOW IS THE EUROPEAN CLOUD SUMMIT RELATED TO THE EUROPEAN COLLABORATION SUMMIT?
The European Cloud Summit and the European Collaboration Summit are obviously sister conferences, but they are still different conferences with different teams managing them. While the Collabsummit, the largest European Modern Workplace, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and PowerPlatform conference will further sharpen its profile in those topics, the newly founded Cloudsummit will focus on Microsoft Azure, cloud platforms, and cloud business, as such.
WHERE AND WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
In Mainz/Germany, from 27-29 September 2021. This picturesque town in the Rhine valley, capital of the Rhineland-Palatinate state, is Germany’s “best small large city”. It is located in the heart of Europe – in the middle of the Rhine-Main metropolitan region. The address of the venue is: Rheingoldhalle, Rheinstr. 66, 55116 Mainz/Germany.
HOW MANY ATTENDEES CAN BE EXPECTED AT THE EUROPEAN CLOUD SUMMIT?
We are expecting up to a thousand attendees from all over Europe for the European Cloud Summit. Based on previous attendances, we expect an equal distribution of business and technical audience, as well as of professionals and end users.
WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE LANGUAGE?
English. The keynote, all sessions, panels and round tables will be held in English. The registration desk staff will also speak English.
WHICH SPEAKERS CAN BE EXPECTED AT THE EUROPEAN CLOUD SUMMIT?
You will see the most prominent community (MVPs, MCMs) and corporate (Microsoft) speakers at the European Cloud Summit. We will announce all selected speakers upon the conclusion of our call for speakers.
WHY IS THIS EVENT CHEAPER THAN OTHER EVENTS IN EUROPE WITH THE SAME FOCUS?
Because this is a community-initiated and community-driven conference, which does not focus solely on profit. The symbolic conference fee we require is to cover basic attendance costs, such as catering and venue. The primarily goal is to get the world’s best experts and to share their knowledge with as many cloud community people in Europe as possible. The organizers are active in the Microsoft community for decades, they are awarded as Microsoft Regional Directors and Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs), and as such, they can get the best Microsoft executive, corporate and community speakers to join the Cloudsummit.
